Rumors of Dustin's homosexuality erupted when he admitted to supporting Tottenham Hotspur. This was reiterated when Arthur, a known homosexual, also "came out" as a fan of Spurs.
It is a well excepted fact that Dustin has a generically masculine alter-ego known as Colt (or Coltstin). This is likely an unconcious attempt to compensate for his Spurs fandom.
